{"id":5658,"date":"2025-06-04T10:42:55","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T10:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog-prod.peli.com\/atex-richtlijn-alles-wat-je-moet-weten\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T10:42:55","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T10:42:55","slug":"atex-richtlijn-alles-wat-je-moet-weten","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.peli.com\/nl\/atex-richtlijn-alles-wat-je-moet-weten\/","title":{"rendered":"ATEX-richtlijn: Alles wat je moet weten"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"hs_cos_wrapper_post_body\" class=\"hs_cos_wrapper hs_cos_wrapper_meta_field hs_cos_wrapper_type_rich_text\" style=\"\" data-hs-cos-general-type=\"meta_field\" data-hs-cos-type=\"rich_text\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">In deze post duiken we in de ATEX-richtlijn om enkele veelgestelde vragen te beantwoorden, zoals: wat is het, wat regelt het, waarom en waar?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Als je werkt of veel tijd doorbrengt in een explosiegevaarlijke omgeving, zoals een tankstation, bepaalde fabrieken of werkplaatsen, dan is het belangrijk om na te gaan of je ATEX-gecertificeerde elektrische apparatuur nodig hebt om het ontstekingsgevaar die in dit soort gebieden aanwezig is te beperken.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"hs-responsive-embed-wrapper hs-responsive-embed\" style=\"width: 100%; height: auto; position: relative; overflow: hidden; padding: 0; max-width: 1170px; max-height: 658px; min-width: 256px; margin: 0px auto; display: block;\">\n<div class=\"hs-responsive-embed-inner-wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; padding-bottom: 56.24%; margin: 0;\"><iframe class=\"hs-responsive-embed-iframe\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: none;\" title=\"ATEX EU Safety directive \/ all you need to know\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" xml=\"lang\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I71f5lhF1oY?feature=oembed&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" data-service=\"youtube\" data-gtm-yt-inspected-11=\"true\" id=\"399827835\" data-gtm-yt-inspected-16=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Wat is ATEX?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">ATEX is een EU-richtlijn die beschrijft welke apparaten en beveiligingssystemen zijn toegestaan op plaatsen waar ontploffingsgevaar kan heersen.<\/p>\n<h3><span><span style=\"text-transform: none;\">Wat is een explosieve omgeving?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Een explosieve omgeving ontstaat wanneer een mengsel van lucht, gassen, dampen, nevels of stof zo samenkomt dat dit onder bepaalde bedrijfsomstandigheden kan ontvlammen.<\/p>\n<h3><span><span style=\"text-transform: none;\">Waar komen explosieve omgevingen voor?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Een paar van de meer voor de hand liggende industrie\u00ebn en werkplekken met een explosieve omgeving zijn de olie-, gas- en petrochemische industrie, brandweer en reddingswerkers, benzinestations, elektriciteitscentrales en chemische productiefaciliteiten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Ze kunnen ook voorkomen in minder voor de hand liggende gebieden en industrie\u00ebn, zoals farmaceutische bedrijven, suikerfabrieken, vliegtuiginspectie\/luchtvaart, gemeentelijke rioleringswerkzaamheden, productie van verf en vernis, productie op chemische locaties, industri\u00eble bakkerijen, reparatiewerkplaatsen, tank- en autokeuring, tenside- en oplosmiddelfabrieken.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Dit is absoluut niet een volledige lijst, maar het geeft wel een goed idee van waar deze gevaarlijke omgevingen te vinden zijn.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Wat betekent ATEX?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">ATEX ontleent zijn naam aan de laatste twee woorden van de Franse naam van de ATEX-richtlijn:&nbsp;<em>Appareils destin\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s en&nbsp;<strong>AT<\/strong>mosph\u00e8res&nbsp;<strong>Ex<\/strong>plosives<\/em>&nbsp;or \u201capparaten bestemd voor gebruik in <strong>EX<\/strong>plosieve <strong>AT<\/strong>mosferen\u201d in het Nederlands.<\/p>\n<h3><span><span style=\"text-transform: none;\">Wat is de ATEX-certificering precies en waarom is deze vereist?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">ATEX-richtlijn 1994\/9\/EG bestaat uit twee verschillende richtlijnen, een voor fabrikanten en een voor werkgevers. Oorspronkelijk werd de richtlijn voor beide verplicht op 1 juli 2003. De richtlijn voor fabrikanten is sindsdien bijgewerkt en de nieuwe richtlijn, 2014\/34\/EU, werd gepubliceerd op 26 februari 2014 en is sinds 20 april 2016 van toepassing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Zoals blijkt uit bovenstaande, <strong>de ATEX-norm doet twee dingen:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px;\">\n<li>Ten eerste verplicht het fabrikanten om naar behoren gecertificeerd elektrisch materiaal te leveren aan eindgebruikers die in potentieel explosieve zones werken.<\/li>\n<li>Ten tweede, voor werknemers bestaat een andere ATEX-richtlijn (1999\/92\/EG) met de eisen voor werkgevers die werknemers in dienst hebben die mogelijk gevaar lopen door explosieve omgevingen en die de verbetering van de veiligheid en gezondheid van die werknemers regelt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 18pt; font-size: 18px;\">Beide richtlijnen zijn verplicht in de EU.<\/p>\n<h3><span><span style=\"text-transform: none;\">Waar is de ATEX-norm van toepassing?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>De ATEX-norm is van toepassing binnen de Europese Unie<\/strong>. Zoals alle EU-richtlijnen worden ze een wet wanneer de afzonderlijke landen ze aannemen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Hoewel de richtlijn alleen in de EU geldt,<strong> is de ATEX-norm snel uitgegroeid tot een van de belangrijkste normen<\/strong> wereldwijd voor de productie van apparaten bestemd voor gebruik in een explosieve omgeving. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Wa is een ATEX-zone?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Volgens de ATEX-certificering zijn er verschillende gebieden binnen explosieve omgevingen die moeten worden ingedeeld volgens het potenti\u00eble gevaarlijke risico van elk gebied. In elk gebied mag alleen geschikte gecertificeerde apparatuur worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px;\">\n<li>Deze verschillende gebieden zijn onderverdeeld in drie classificaties, of zones:<\/li>\n<li>Voor explosieve omgevingen van gassen en dampen zijn deze ATEX-zones Zone 2, Zone 1 en Zone 0.<\/li>\n<li>Voor explosieve atmosferen van stof zijn deze ATEX-zones Zone 22, Zone 21 en Zone 20.<\/li>\n<li>Elke zone-indeling is afhankelijk van het risiconiveau, waarbij Zone (2)2 het minst riskant is en Zone (2)0 het meest riskant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Met de ATEX-norm wordt alle elektrische apparatuur <strong>aan de hand van deze ATEX-zones ingedeeld en daarmee gecertificeerd<\/strong> in welke gebieden deze veilig kan worden gebruikt. Meer over hoe ATEX-zones moeten worden bepaald hieronder.<\/p>\n<h3><span>Het bepalen van ATEX-zones<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>De ATEX-certificering heeft betrekking op explosieve omgevingen van gassen en dampen<\/strong>, maar ook op vaste stofdeeltjes, die in tegenstelling tot wat je misschien denkt, ook tot explosies kunnen leiden.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: windowtext;\">ATEX-zones voor gassen\/dampen:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px;\">\n<li>Zone 0 &#8211; Een plaats waar een explosieve omgeving, bestaande uit een mengsel van gevaarlijke stoffen in de vorm van gas, damp of nevel, voortdurend, gedurende lange perioden of herhaaldelijk aanwezig is.<\/li>\n<li>Zone 1 &#8211; Een plaats waar een explosieve omgeving, bestaande uit een mengsel van gevaarlijke stoffen in de vorm van gas, damp of nevel, bij normaal bedrijf af en toe kan voorkomen.<\/li>\n<li>Zone 2 &#8211; Een plaats waar een explosieve omgeving, bestaande uit een mengsel van gevaarlijke stoffen in de vorm van gas, damp of nevel, bij normaal gebruik niet waarschijnlijk is en, indien dit toch gebeurt, slechts kort blijft bestaan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: windowtext;\">ATEX-zones voor stof:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Zone 20 \u2013 Een plaats waar een explosieve omgeving in de vorm van een wolk brandbaar stof in de lucht voortdurend, gedurende lange perioden of vaak aanwezig is.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Zone 21 &#8211; Een plaats waar een explosieve omgeving in de vorm van een wolk brandbaar stof in de lucht bij normaal gebruik af en toe kan voorkomen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Zone 22 &#8211;
