Dans un premier temps, elle est devenue obligatoire pour les deux cat\u00e9gories le 1<sup>er<\/sup> juillet 2003. La directive destin\u00e9e aux fabricants a, depuis, \u00e9t\u00e9 mise \u00e0 jour et la nouvelle directive, 2014\/34\/UE, a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e le 26 f\u00e9vrier 2014 et est applicable depuis le 20 avril 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Comme mentionn\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, <strong>la ATEX certification a deux objectifs<\/strong>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px;\">\n<li>Elle oblige tout d\u2019abord les fabricants \u00e0 fournir des \u00e9quipements \u00e9lectriques certifi\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re ad\u00e9quate aux utilisateurs finaux qui travailleront dans des zones potentiellement explosives.<\/li>\n<li>Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des travailleurs, il existe aussi une autre directive ATEX (1999\/92\/CE) qui d\u00e9finit les exigences pour les employeurs dont les travailleurs sont potentiellement expos\u00e9s au risque d\u2019atmosph\u00e8res explosives et r\u00e8glemente le renforcement des mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de protection de la sant\u00e9 de ces travailleurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 18pt; font-size: 18px;\">Les deux directives sont obligatoires dans l\u2019UE.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-transform: none;\">O\u00f9 la norme ATEX atmosph\u00e8re explosive s\u2019applique-t-elle&nbsp;?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>La r\u00e8glementation ATEX s\u2019applique au sein de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne<\/strong>. Les directives de l\u2019UE deviennent des lois lorsque les diff\u00e9rents pays les adoptent. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Bien que la directive ATEX ne soit applicable que dans l\u2019UE, <strong>la ATEX certification est en passe de devenir l\u2019une des principales normes mondiales<\/strong> pour la production d\u2019appareils destin\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s dans des atmosph\u00e8res explosives. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: bold;\">D\u00e9finition zones ATEX&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Selon la ATEX certification, il existe diff\u00e9rents emplacements dans les atmosph\u00e8res explosives, <strong>qui doivent \u00eatre class\u00e9s en fonction du risque de dangerosit\u00e9 qu\u2019ils pr\u00e9sentent<\/strong>, et seuls les \u00e9quipements certifi\u00e9s appropri\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s dans chacun de ces emplacements.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px;\">\n<li>Ces diff\u00e9rents emplacements sont subdivis\u00e9s en trois cat\u00e9gories, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9es zones&nbsp;:<\/li>\n<li>Pour les atmosph\u00e8res explosives dues \u00e0 des gaz et des vapeurs, ce sont les zones 2, 1 et 0.<\/li>\n<li>Pour les atmosph\u00e8res explosives dues \u00e0 la poussi\u00e8re, ce sont les zones 22, 21 et 20.<\/li>\n<li>Chaque cat\u00e9gorie de zone d\u00e9pend du niveau de risque correspondant, la zone (2)2 \u00e9tant la moins dangereuse et la zone (2)0 la plus dangereuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Avec la directive ATEX, tous les \u00e9quipements \u00e9lectriques sont class\u00e9s en fonction de ces zones et permettent ainsi de certifier dans quelles zones ils peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9.
