The 3315Z0 LED flashlight is very compact, but still easy to handle. The power button is also easy to operate, even when wearing gloves.
The battery compartment is not immediately intuitive to open, but after trying it a couple of times, it becomes easy to do. We realized the closure has this configuration to be waterproof and ATEX Cat. 1 certified. It was comfortable to know that we could carry this flashlight with us, even to risky, threatening atmospheres. The small cable, linking the flashlight and the battery closure is a very nice detail, meaning we will never lose it.
We liked the strong and rugged feeling it has, capable of withstanding some harsh drops, which happen while on tight and low visibility environments.
The beam is bright and very concentrated, which is very useful while on a indoor fire, so we’re able to see through the smoke. Being a LED flashlight, the batteries have a very good duration, although it should include a way to see how much power is left. Otherwise we’re at risk of having a failure in the middle of a fire. The flashlight could also be provided with a rechargeable battery. This way it would be always completely charged at the firehouse, and we would be confident to have light for hours.
